his past May, Integrative Wellness & Physical Therapy in Bloomfi eld, CT welcomed Dr. Joyce Chung-Quiros to the Team of integrative practitioners. Dr. Chung-Quiros is a Doctor
of Chiropractic and practices Acupuncture as well as many other specialized wellness and medical services such as Mei Zen Cos- metic Acupuncture and Webster Technique. She will be working collaboratively with the Team at Integrative Wellness to provide their clients with the best of care.
Dr. Chung-Quiros is a Certifi ed Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture Specialist for the face, neck and abdomen. The Mei Zen approach is a natural, holistic and comprehensive program designed to rejuve- nate the face, creating a more youthful appearance while address- ing a person’s overall health to bring balance to the entire body. Dr. Chung-Quiros is currently the only Preferred Provider in Connecti- cut to perform Mei Zen Acupuncture.
Dr. Chung-Quiros has been practicing Chiropractic medicine
and Acupuncture since 2003. She is an active member of the Inter- national Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is a Certifi ed Practi- tioner in the Webster Technique. The Webster Technique is a specifi c Chiropractic protocol of sacral adjustments that was developed as a safe means to restore proper pelvic balance and function in pregnant women to improve their comfort throughout pregnancy in prepara- tion for a safer and easier birth.
Dr. Chung-Quiros supports the use of both alternative medi-
cine and traditional western medicine to harmoniously reach one’s optimal health and wellness. She has a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science from the University of Connecticut, a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine from New York Chiropractic College, and a Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Certifi cation from McMaster University.
