If you fancy the idea

of a cycling day out, but would rather let an electric bike take the strain, you can hire ebikes to explore Bedgebury and marked routes across the Weald from the UK Electric Bike Centre.

Owner Marcus van der Gaag says by using an electric bike, everyone can enjoy the day – no matter when they last rode a bike!

If you’ve never tried an ebike, you ride

in exactly the same way as a pedal bike. The difference is that when you pedal, the motor kicks in to help you. There are various motor settings so it is possible to cycle without making any effort at all. Alternatively, you can switch the motor off and ride your bike conventionally. The bike also has a throttle that can be engaged to help at specific times

The UK Electric Bike Centre is a one-

forest conditions. Take time to take in the peacefulness and tranquillity of the forest. This is escapism at its best. Feel at one with nature, whether that’s early enough to hear the dawn chorus or to admire the rhododendrons adorning Bedgebury at this time of year, there’s no better place to be on a bike. Take a pit stop at various points on your trail to capture essential memories or for some well-needed hydration — absolute must do’s during your visit! Visiting Bedgebury and exploring all its finery is an experience that should not be rushed. Make a day of it, exploring, riding and then round off your visit with well-earned refreshments at the Bedgebury café.
