SEPTEMBER September 3 - 4 Faversham Hop Festival Market Place Faversham One of the few remaining events to celebrate Kent’s hopping heritage and now in its 27th year, the festival brings music on three stages plus events in many of the town’s pubs. Complemented by Morris and other dancing, this is a foot-tapping experience for all the family. There will be the usual
selection of stalls, exhibitions and activities celebrating the
heritage of the hop industry in the Faversham area, which extends back over 800 years.
September 10 - 11 Chalk it up! Sittingbourne High Street For a whole weekend, a host of artists will descend upon the town and create amazing works of art in chalk, charcoal and pastels on walls and on pavements in the High Street. Make sure you see them before the rain washes them away!
September 16 - 18 Faversham Food Festival Taking place over three days, the Friday focus is on fish, freshly landed in the heart of Faversham adjacent to the old fish market. On Saturday, Faversham's
regular market is supplemented by a host of food stalls and tastings, demonstrations and talks throughout the town. New for 2016 is the Ale Trail for those who appreciate fine ales. The Local Food Hero Award will be presented at the Food Festival Barbecue at the Phoenix Garden in Abbey Street.
