Hello Tania, I’m a retired airline employee and have seen the problems associated with the use of wrong wording to describe flights. Te big headline on the spring 2016 edition of Te Hub declares ‘Fly direct to Lon- don’ . While this is true , it should read ‘fly non-stop to London’. Tis is the way WestJet advertises it. As an example us- ing the above flight, a direct flight starts in Winnipeg and ends in London, but, it can have any number of stops enroute. As long as it starts in Winnipeg and ends in London and nobody has to get off and change planes, it is classified as direct. Te travelling public wants to see non- stop for describing these flights. Tanks for listening and keep up the

good work. Cam

Hi Cam, Tanks for clarifying that. I know that

there are specific terms in the industry and we should adhere to them so our readers can better understand the lingo and not get caught when they make reservations for themselves. However, in some instances, flights may not always be non-stop. Charters are a good example. Tey may make an ad- ditional stop to pick up passengers in another city, enroute to their destination at various times of the year. It is for this reason that we use the term direct, so as to not disap- point passengers. We will be sure to use the best wording moving forward. Cheers, Tania

Hi Tania, Just a quick note to tell you how proud I am of the job you are doing on Te Hub. It is just one great issue after an- other. Good for you and your great team! I show the magazine to everyone! Here is a picture taken at Easter Island. What an amazing place, 887 statues, over 300 to 400 years old! Te island is 2,000 miles from the coast of Chile. It really is an incredible sight to see. Is it okay to send a photo? We didn’t have Te Hub with us. Keep up the great work; you make us Manitobans proud. Tank you so much. Take care and bye for now, Connie and Dougall McCormick

Hi Connie and Dougall, Tanks for the very kind words. And, of course, you can send a photo! Tank you both

for being such wonderful ambassadors for Manitoba and sharing Te Hub with others. Cheers, Tania

To everyone who took the time to read

through Te Hub on the beach and pose for photos in Cancun, Tank you! Brenda Galandie from Regina, SK. Sandra and Ken Merk from Regina, SK. And my biggest promoter on the beach

Hali and Larry Moses from Connecticut. Hali more passionately promoted the won- ders of Te Hub than my parents or even myself! It was wonderful meeting some of you for the first time and seeing others again. I was so disappointed to find out that these

photos were corrupted but I couldn’t let this opportunity pass to thank you all for your support. If I am able to salvage the photos, I will post them to our online postcards. Tankfully, one photo did make it, my fa- vourite jewellery salesman, Edward, who sets us up with new bling every year. Muchas gracias mi amigos, Tania
