NOW, ON TO SOME OF MY FAVORITE PLACES TO DINE, WINE AND CELEBRATE: Eight4Nine Restaurant was just voted one of the “Hottest Restaurants in
America” and it’s well deserved. It’s true and just recently,Grazia, the French magazine, photographed renowned local artist Karen Barone, local queen, Pinkie Meringue Shimmer and myself there. Even more fabulous, handsome Reza Farahan and husband Adam Neely, of Bravo’sShahs of Sunset,just
City just south of Palm Springs and is an “old-school” Italian bakery and café. Frankie and Luca run the place and it feels like stepping back into an Italian neighborhood bistro. I adore the food anytime, but once a month, the legendary Kaye Ballard, along with Broadway and TV musical veterans (who retired in the Desert when TV was still black and white), put on live dinner theatre performances, with singing and kick lines! Everyone who loves old school, legendary performers (including Carol Channing), should definitely stop by. You won’t soon forget and they are friendly and love to see their fans. Trust me... in Cathedral City to all who visit. This bitsy eatery is home to more LGBT friends, looking for a delish burger than any other place I know. Small and open only about a year, they make massive, delicious burgers and serve the biggest portion of fries I’ve ever experienced. They also serve salads... But honey, this is not the place to go light. Tony’s food will put a smile on your face and nary a dent in your wallet. For more information, go to
