DJ Tristan Jaxx,you might say, is a man of many hats. The uber-talented, handsome DJ has developed quite a name for himself and he’s bringing his signature style of visceral house music to the KRAVE Pool Party onSunday, June 26!
1. What is one thing you always have to have with you when you spin? Besides the standard headphones, I like to bring snacks or protein bars with me, because I’m always feeling a little hungry when I’m on the decks.
2. The latest album you’re obsessed with? I’m really enjoying the new Sia album This Is Acting.
3. What can attendees to KRAVE expect to hear? A nice blend of fun, upbeat sounds, genres and vocals to complement the day vibe of a fashionable pool party .
4. Are you a swim trunk or speedo kind of guy? More a swim trunks guy.
5. Song requests are like a middle finger, but what is the funniest request you have received? It’s always best to trust in your DJ for the music selection but on that rare occasion when a person asks for a request I simply say, “I take suggestions, not requests.” One of the more hilarious moments, was when someone requested a Britney Spears song at the exact moment I was playing the song... The person who asked seemed like they had their mind blown.
Mental note: make sure you know what song you are currently listening to before you ask for the same artist.
6. What is your summer anthem this year? Heading close to summer, I’m really enjoying the new Alan Walker “Faded” track that has been taking over the airwaves lately.
TheKrave Pool Party will be held at the SummerSalt Rooftop Pool in Downtown San Diego’s Hotel Palomar, a venue that’s the epitome of sexy urban luxury! 7. What’s up next for DJ Tristan Jaxx? Next up after theKrave Pool Party, I will be getting ready to headline a big 4th of July Pool Party at Dunes Resort in Saugatuck, MI. After that, it’s all eyes on UNITE! Music Festivalduring San Diego Pride,Friday, July 15 through Monday, July 18, which is the inaugural year of my first-ever music festival, produced alongside fellow team members Cavin Knight, Noir D Costa and Dan De Leon. We will feature five parties (XLSIOR Mykonos, FLAUNT, Overdrive, WE Party & Chaos) and 13 DJs over three days, blending communities, artists, music styles and fashion, all with an “all-welcome” vibe.
