The seeds are also a good source of fatty acids and the vitamin C and E are natural antioxidants helping the body stave off infections, cancer, and neurological conditions. How to make your own Burdock


Root Tea ~ You can make burdock root tea by steeping 2 to 6 grams (g) of chopped organic burdock root in 2 cups of hot water for 15 to 20 min- utes. The starchy root has a pro- nounced flavor that some people pre- fer with a little organic raw honey or lemon added to it. Increases Urine Flow Because burdock is high in

Burdock Root Vegetable Stew *all organic please 2 Tbsp organic toasted sesame oil 1 cup burdock, sliced thin 1 large onion, diced pink himalayan salt 1 cup carrots, sliced thin 1 cup turnips, sliced thin 1 cup unsliced kabocha squash, sliced thin 1 Tbsp


black cumin seeds, ground 1 tsp dulse, and kelp or wakame 3 Tbsp white miso paste Place sesame oil in a medium sized pot over medium heat.When oil is heated add burdock slices and onion w/a pinch of salt. Sautefor 5 min- utes, stirring if necessary. Layer the carrots, turnips, and squash. Sprinkle with cumin and sea vegetables ( dulse, kelp, and/ or wakame ). Add enough water to completely cover vegetables and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer, covered 1 hour, adding more water if neces- sary, until veggies are soft and ten- der. Add a little soup broth to miso and dilute. Add to stew and simmer another 5 minutes and serve. *May also be made in a slow cooker on high 4 - 6 hours or low 8 hours, adding the miso at the end.


Roasted Burdock Root, Leeks, Lotus Root, and Turnips *all organic please Preheat 400o oven 1 cup burdock root, leeks, lotus root, and turnips, all thinly sliced 6 cloves garlic, sliced 1 Tbsp Black cumin seeds, ground 1 Tbsp Turmeric powder 1 Tbsp Dulse Pink himalayan salt Organic toasted Sesame oil and extra virgin olive oil Combine vegetables in large bowl with sesame oil and sprinkle with seasonings. Place on baking sheet / jelly roll pan greased with olive oil and place in preheated oven. Roast for 20 minutes or until starting to get crispy, and serve.
