amaha just released its brand-new line of jet-boats, and we were invited by Kelowna Yamaha & Marine to experience


the exciting performance wakesport 242X E-Series. It was a fun day!


With the colour-matched interior and the ultra wide coverage Bimini, this 12 person (or 1,224 kg) wake boat is a true eye-catcher. Yamaha knows what the buyer expects for theirmoney, so they loaded this boat with a lot of very cool goodies.


Have you heard about Yamaha’s triple ballast system? It adds up to 635 kg of additional weight, intuitively controlled through Yamaha’s Connext system. Just dial in the perfect size and shape for the wake and off you go! Another feature of this system is the drive control tab, which allows the driver to set a GPS controlled speed,

The all-new 2016 242X E-Series And yes, almost equally important is the perfect sound system, and Yamaha does not disappoint: A 1000watt systemwith 10” subwoofer, 6 cabin speakers, 2 can speakers on the tower - and a tower speaker bar with an additional 10 speakers, is standard.

We also liked the walkthrough transom with easy access to the swim platform and the two stern seats.
