Serendipity [ser-uh n-dip-i-tee] 1. An aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident. 2. Good fortune; luck. It’s the perfect definition to describe how this interview came about. Last month, readers may remember an interview question posed to Alan Cumming, asking if he and Kristin Chenoweth had as much fun working together as it looked. His response was to say, “I love her so much and she can make me fall on the floor laughing!” I remember thinking at the time, “Wouldn’t it be fun to ask her the same question?” Zip forward a couple weeks... After realizing Chenoweth would be at Seger-
strom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa and a little song and dance on my part, along with a bit of magic from Segerstrom’s Scalla Jakso and Chenoweth’s publicist and... “Voila!” Another chance to chat with the priceless, gifted pixie. Her response to the question, by the way, “We have as much fun as two people who are happily married should have... without the sex.”
