International Wood Biorefining Week


C


ombining three events for the pulp, paper and bioenergy industries, International Wood


Biorefining Week is the leading international event for wood- based biorefining. Held in Stockholm, Sweden, from 24-26 May, 2016, it will also provide a strong focus on new innovations and products from the forest industry. The three events will offer an efficient and timely business platform corresponding to the development of the industry and the needs of the exhibitors and visitors. IWB Week will host a strong and versatile conference programme jointly organised by Svebio, Nordisk Papperstidning and Biobusiness, together with Innventia and VTT as conference partners, covering the entire biorefining industry. Four parallel conference tracks will focus on bioenergy and bio- based products and innovations.

The conference will start with an opening ceremony followed by a session focusing on biomass markets. During the two following days, there will be four parallel focus areas running at the same time.


The programme for World Bioenergy will be divided into advanced biofuels, power and heat from the forest. The different sessions will focus on


black pellets and torrefaction, advanced biofuels, bioenergy from the forest industry, bio- power from forest biomass, biofuels in aviation and marine applications.


For the bioeconomy Innovation Forum, the focus will be on carbon fibres from the forest, packaging, nano- cellulose, bioplastics and construction, as well as the food


and textile industries.


The conference will conclude with a focus session on the future of the industry. Tickets for the conference will cost 2000 SEK per day and person (excluding VAT) and 3500 SEK for the entire IWB Week conference programme. IWB Week will also host an open seminars stage in the exhibition area where exhibitors can present their solutions and products. In addition to the conference and seminars, the event will feature many interesting activities in order to facilitate matchmaking and new business contacts, including visits to companies and social events. Delegates are welcome to visit the exhibition, which is free of charge, in order to find out about new business opportunities and make valuable contacts.
