time. I’ve been publishing this paper for 18 Years? I guess I have. I put together the first issue of Upbeat Times ‘Shop- per’ back in 1998 and went out and talked to people about my concept. I really started it, be- cause I wanted to work for myself. I had worked very hard for others with my full dedication. I’m sure I drove people a little crazy because I was constantly asking questions. I am very thankful they an- swered them. I decid- ed, If I ever did de- cide to print my own paper, I would not ever want to copy ‘mainstream’ styles of newspapers and print media. Inside and outside, it is a lot harder to print negative, harsh or controversial content, and issues regarding the world and the citizens in it. Especially in our communities. Word travels fast when one publicly shares perspectives on sensitive issues. Liability and much more come with what peo- ple deem ‘honest report-
