W
e all know that the journey of a thousand miles be- gins with a single step. The choices you make today determine both your direction and destiny for the
next year. You must dare to say yes to your goals and dreams
and make that your number one priority. You must fi nd what makes you come alive and go do it. And you must have the patience and belief that you and the Universe will co-create your life and reality.
Each day pick 3 achievable goals that are specifi c, measurable, and realistic to accomplish that day. These goals should be moving you toward your long-term goal or dream that you have set for the next year. They should be simple, yet have the potential to move you out of your comfort zone at times to allow you to stretch to reach your ultimate desire. A good practice is to set aside some time on Sunday to plan out your three daily goals per day for the week. Some examples of daily goals are:
• I will create inspiring affi rmations that I will read each morning before I rise and each evening before I go to sleep • I will contact 3 people who will help me make new connections for my business • I will fi nd a new way to exercise for 30 minutes today • I will design a peaceful, comfortable meditation space in my home and meditate for 10 minutes a day • I will spend 30 minutes on my marketing plan and implement one unique idea for my new business • I will only check my email once in the morning and once in the evening to allow me uninterrupted time to focus on my tasks for the day
As you can see, your daily goals may be combinations of spiritual, health and business goals. Be sure to check in with your thoughts and feelings as you set your goals at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day as you track your ac- complishments. If at any time, this feels burdensome, then you need to revisit your long-term goal(s). If your goals and dreams don’t excite you and infuse you with energy, it will be much harder and less fulfi lling to reach those wants, needs and wishes your heart and spirit are longing for. So ask yourself again if the goals you have set inspire you. If the answer is no, you may need to explore your passions more deeply to come up with a new set of dreams.
