The Business Magazine launches TVPA 2016


Nominations open this month for the Thames Valley Property Awards, the largest property awards event in the south, outside London


Staged at Ascot Racecourse, and run by The Business Magazine, TVPA attracts 500 property professionals, developers, agents and opinion formers.


TVPA is the must-attend event for the commercial and residential property sectors – and is now recognised as the premier multi- category awards scheme for the industry in the key M4/M40/M3 region.


The 2016 event includes a new category – for property regeneration – sponsored by NatWest.


Once again, for the third year running, TVPA 2016 will raise money for the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.

Business Park of the Year Sponsor: Peter Brett Associates


The Thames Valley has been synonymous with the creation and management of business parks as a location of choice for businesses across the region. This award celebrates the ability of the developer, owner or management team to market the business park by new initiatives, maintain high occupancy levels, and consistently receive positive feedback from tenants. Judges will be looking for a clear demonstration of the ability of the business park to fulfil the criteria listed above.


Development of the Year Sponsor: Hicks Baker


Celebration of a Thames Valley project (office, mixed-use, residential or industrial) that has been recently completed, has funding or has just received planning consent. Judges will be looking at the funders’/developer’s ability to create an exciting new development, which matches industry standards and will be seen as a real addition to the Thames Valley.


Commercial Property Deal of the Year Sponsor: Haslams


This award celebrates a ‘deal’ or transaction that by its size, importance or location makes a significant impact on the Thames Valley. Such a deal often

Commercial Property Consultancy – Firm Sponsor: SEGRO


This award draws from EGi data and is based on deal volumes and values.


After London, the Thames Valley is the next largest property market in the UK by volume of deals and density. Working with EGi, this award will use objective information gathered from its extensive industry-leading database on deals within the Thames Valley region. The award will be given to the consultancy that has completed the highest total of commercial deals in the office sector across the region during the qualifying period.


Commercial Property Consultancy – Client Service


This award is open to all property consultancies and celebrates the ability of the consultancy to take a client’s brief and ensure it is correctly managed and serviced. Entries must be supported by clear evidence of success, including testimonials from clients and other advisers involved with the deal, project or brief in question.


Industrial & Logistics Property Consultancy


This award draws from EGi data and is based on deal volumes and values.


Working with EGi, part of Estates Gazette group, this award uses objective information gathered from its extensive industry-leading database on deals within the Thames Valley region by postcode. The award will be given to the property consultancy that has completed the most industrial/logistics deals across the region during the qualifying period.


Housebuilder of the Year Sponsor: Pitmans


Successful housebuilding in the Thames Valley has to be aware of environmental issues, and a need for community engagement. It has to have real economic benefit, respecting the Thames Valley environment and showing how good design can create places where people want to live, both young and old. The judges are looking for a Thames Valley housebuilder that incorporates these aspects into its completed schemes and consistently receives positive feedback from its customers.


Town of the Year Sponsor: Barton Willmore


Judges are looking for a Thames Valley town (or city) and its management team (and advisers) that has implemented a successful town-centre strategy and has enhanced the town’s brand. This could be by improving transportation links, implementing a
