What should you bring?


1. Day packs or backpacks for cameras, books, sunscreen, water, etc. for around the ship and while visiting ports.


2. If you bring electronics – cell phone, laptops – enquire ahead of time about roaming charges and Internet usage rates. Also, since electrical outlets are limited, you may want to bring a small power bar.


3. Over-the-door shoe bags for toilet- ries and small items to keep them from getting lost are ideal.


4. If you are going on a longer cruise, bring wire hangers for your clothing.


5. Shopping? Bring an extra bag that can be folded then checked on the way home.


6. Pack your travel documents, a change of clothes, bathing suit and medications in your carry-on as it can take up to six hours for your bags to arrive. The night before you leave you will need to have a carry-on for your travel documents, a change of clothes and toiletries as staff will collect your bags the night before you leave the ship.

7. Binoculars are often forgotten but are useful onboard and onshore.


8. Since all cabin doors are metal, small magnetic erasable white boards are a great way to communicate with fellow travellers and make your door stand out.


9. Bring a swimsuit cover-up for cool areas on the ship and remember to bring extra bathing suits as well as sun block, sun visors and other types of sun protection. The reflection off the ocean increases your chances of burning.


10. Don’t forget to bring a pair of sneak- ers or rubber-soled shoes for deck sports and comfortable walking shoes for shore excursions.


And what not to bring


These and other similar items will be confiscated upon being found. 1. Candles and incense. 2. Coffee makers and clothes irons. 3. Skateboards and surfboards. 4. Electrical extension cords. 5. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased in ports-of-call or from shops onboard will be stored by the ship and delivered to you on the last day of the sailing. Alcoholic beverages seized on embarkation day will not be returned.
