Should You Upgrade to Windows10?
Whether you are a business or home user, you have probably noticed that a small “Windows” icon has appeared in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. The icon is a free upgrade to Microsoft’s new operating system, Windows 10 which was released on July 29th. If you click on it, it asks whether you want to reserve a free upgrade. We take a look at what Windows 10 offers and whether you should upgrade.
What’s New in Windows 10? the start menu is back (missing from Windows 8) and there are many new features. “Cortana” is a voice activated virtual pA service and there is a new browser called “microsoft edge”. Windows 10 merges Windows 7 and Windows 8. It’s modern and fresh but most importantly includes many of the features of Windows 7 that were missing from Windows 8. If you have Windows 7 or 8.1, you will have one year to upgrade free of charge, so until July 29th 2016. the upgrade comes through Windows update and you will see the icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. found Windows 8 difficult to use and very slow - Windows 10 should offer a much better experience. If you are using Windows 7, you have a whole year to upgrade free of charge. Once you go to Windows 10, there’s no going back. my advice – if you are on Windows 7, watch and wait for a little while!
