More energy recovery systems for Sofidel
has ordered two more Advantage ReTurne energy recovery systems from Valmet. These are Sofidel’s second and
T
third installations of the technology which will be installed at Delicarta mill’s TM2 in Italy and at the Delitissue mill Poland. The first Advantage ReTurne installation started up at Sofidel’s Delicarta mill at Valdottavo in Italy in 2014 and reportedly fully met expectations. The Advantage ReTurne energy
recovery system is installed in the forming section and recovers 50 per cent of the energy from the headbox drainage water and with a generator converts it into electrical power which is supplied to the sectional drives. “The first installation of Valmet’s Advantage ReTurne energy

Web inspection system for Guangzhou Paper Co
Chinese paper maker Guangzhou Paper Co has installed a web inspection system from ISRA Vision on its PM1 machine to enable it to guarantee its customers high quality while ensuring the highest possible efficiency. The paper making line, with
a web width of 4,800mm, produces newspaper and fine paper that weigh between 45
and 70 g/m² at a web speed of 1,600 m/min. Guangzhou Paper, which specializes in the manufacturing and global export of a variety of different paper products, specified a Paper Master inspection system from ISRA with five cameras that support the maximum resolution and ensure the highest processing speeds. The
inspection of surfaces is conducted with high-power LED lamps that enable the identification quality defects 100 per cent of the time, along with categorizing them. ISRA says: “The classifier
teaching makes use of a similarity filter, making online inspection 1,000 times faster than that offered by any other system.”
