The Liv-

ing Room is the only day- time drop-in center in So- noma Coun- ty specifi- cally serving women and

their children who are home- less or at risk of homelessness. We fill a special need in

conjunction with other com- munity agencies by providing participants with a warm and safe place to be during the day when shelters are closed. The Living Room is also a criti- cal first stop for women who are on the verge of becoming homeless, the first place at-risk or newly homeless turn to for relief and referral guidance. Our program is designed to

foster self-sufficiency and in- dependence in an atmosphere of respect. Donations can be sent to The Living Room Cen- ter, 636 Cherry St., Santa Rosa, CA 95404, 707-579-0138, or donate online at www.thelivin- groomsc.org.
