elcome to the June issue of IMT magazine, as I sit here putting pen to paper and complete another article more news comes in about the surge in demand for quality used machinery. Many producers are now looking at the pre-owned machinery market as a viable and cost eff ective option when replacing a section of the mill or simply going to add an additional production line.
With increasing energy costs and mills being forced to ensure they get the maximum from what is already installed quality pre-owned equipment can fi ll an essential gap when looking for replacements, this is nothing new but quality pre-owned equipment can also provide new company start- ups in some of the lesser developed countries where new state of the art installation’s would simply not be a viable option.
