SONOMA COUNTY, CA. ~ BaggaJo Productions formed through a mutual love of reg- gae music and a desire share it. Created in So- noma County in 2011, BaggaJo is a musical collabora- tion by Flo Galvez and Jolene Gipson; in which they pro- duce live shows and host a weekly ra- dio show featuring reggae music. City of Sonoma native, Gipson remarks, “We do this for the love of the music. It’s truly a labor of love and we enjoy every minute of it!” The two reggae music afi - cionados fi rst connected over their enthusiasm for the British band, UB40, by posting on the bulletin board on the band’s of- fi cial website and often getting

Since 2012, BaggaJo has been hosting a reggae radio program on KSVY, 91.3 FM from 1-3pm every Sunday; which also streams online. Galvez comments, “I love it when we are able to interview an artist from the world of Reggae Music either in stu- dio or call-in.” The radio hosts enjoy getting feedback from listeners about songs featured in the weekly playlist. A school teacher injured his back and had to wear a plaster cast around the upper part of his body. It fi t under his shirt and was not noticeable at all. On the fi rst day of the term, still with the cast under his shirt, he found himself assigned to the toughest students in school. Walking confi dently into the rowdy classroom, he opened the window as wide as possible and then busied himself with desk work. When a strong breeze made his tie fl ap, he took the desk stapler and stapled the tie to his chest. He had no trouble with discipline that term.
I have a dog that talks in its sleep. One day a visitor was astonished to hear the dog bellow, “My name is Christopher Columbus! I am seven hundred years old! I own America! I married Marilyn Monroe!” When the visitor asked what was going on, I replied, “Don’t worry about it. It’s better to just let sleeping dogs lie.”
