BASIC SKILLS SIMILARITIES There are many basic skills similarities between the offshore wind energy industry and other, more established producers of offshore energy. With the production of offshore wind energy in the North Sea burgeoning over the past few years, the company has built on its accumulated offshore expertise and expanded it to include this new and exciting industry.


Anyone working on the seabed, either laying cables onto or putting structures into the sea bed, needs subsea expertise regardless of the sector. Mirroring closely the growing trend in offshore renewable energy expansion, a recent internal recruitment drive at the company has seen the development of its vibrant subsea section.


WIDER REMIT However, recruitment support from Cooper Lomaz is not confined to technical and


engineering personnel. It also has highly successful Accountancy, Executive, IT, Sales and Marketing and Supply Chain departments. Recent assignments have seen the company enlist an IT Manager, a Commercial Accountant and a Management Accountant for three companies actively involved in the offshore wind industry.

The company has found the UK armed forces a rich vein of well- qualified personnel and the Oil, Gas and Renewables team works closely with each service to help men and women, often engineers who are coming to the end of their service life, to move into the energy industry.
