Farm are holding a series of outdoor interpretive walks exploring the farm’s property and observing the natural flo- ra and fauna that live on the property from 4 to 6 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month, including May 20. Each walk will meet at the Josie Porter Farm parking lot, rain or shine. All participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and should dress to be outside.


Upcoming topic include—May 20: Spring Wildflowers.


Things are blooming everywhere as the focus is on the many wildflowers on the property; June 17: Breeding Birds. The walk will concentrate on the birds that breed on the prop- erty; and July 15: Butterflies. The open fields are great places to observe some of the beautiful butterflies that frequent the Josie Porter Farm.


Cost is $3 for members of the EE Center or the CSA program,/ Non-members, $5/children under 12 free. Pre-registration is suggested at the Education Center 570-629-3061 or the Farm 570-992-0899. See ad, page 17.
