Easter Fun, Down House, near Orpington Meet characters from the past with stories of bygone times – maybe a king, butler, Roman centurion or a monk. These folk will be happy to help you on your quest as you explore Down House and crack the clues to win your chocolate reward. Ticket price includes entry to the event and to the site. 11am- 5pm.
April 3-6 Easter Weekend, Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway There will be plenty of opportunities to visit during the weekend. A quick return trip takes about an hour, but feel free to stay longer and visit the award-winning gardens, museum, Footplate Café and railway shop. On Easter Sunday there will be an Easter egg hunt.
April 4
Maidstone Horticultural Society's Spring Show Held at the Maidstone Baptist Church Hall, Knightrider Street. Doors open 1.30pm - 4pm. Prize- winning spring flowers, floral art, cookery and crafts will be on display. Refreshments will be available and a raffle will take lace. Tickets cost 50p, children free.
April 3-6
Bertie Beaver’s 'eggcellent' Easter Fun, Bewl Water Country Park, near Tunbridge Wells Activities to keep the whole family entertained all day include make and take and colouring tent; meet the baby chickens, ducks and lambs; puppet shows; swallow boat rides; Easter scavenger hunt and children’s playgrounds. Open from 10 am, with children’s entertainment from 11am.
April 5
Easter Egg Hunt, Belmont House and Gardens, Faversham Bring the family along and enjoy an afternoon of fun, games and activities. Take a walk through the beautiful gardens to search for the Easter eggs to claim your chocolate prize. Hand Crafted Events will be running an Easter themed workshop and the tearoom will be open from noon for homemade cakes and cream teas.
April 6-10 Spring Week, Godinton House, Ashford
A week of activities for
families to enjoy includes a treasure hunt, garden games and children's crafts.
April 12 Young Kent
Charity Duck Race, Whatman Park, Maidstone You can sponsor one duck or a whole team and paint the River Medway yellow. Ducks can be sponsored for £2 each and the first 10 across the line will win a prize. First prize is £1,000 and there will be nine great runner-up prizes. The event begins at 1pm. All money raised will help Young Kent to support children and young people to realise their potential. To sponsor a duck go to
