Glorious Gardens Week, Penshurst Place Daily 10.30am-5pm June 3: Parkland photography tour. Join professional photographer Leigh Clapp for a summer walk in the parkland as she helps you capture the finer parts of nature on film. Tickets £15. June 4: Official Opening of blue and yellow border. Join the unveiling of the renovated blue and yellow border under the early June sun.
June 5: Lady De L’Isle’s garden tour. Enjoy a personal tour through the gardens with Lady De L’Isle, followed by afternoon cream tea. Tickets £25. June 7: Head gardener’s tour. Enjoy a tour with the head gardener, followed by an afternoon cream tea. Tickets £20.
June 7: Traditional Morris dancing. Gather on the south lawn to watch a display of traditional Morris dancing. Then move through to the Baron’s Hall where you can delight in a display of folk singing.
June 6-7 Le Weekend In Sandwich Now in its sixth year, this popular two-day festival includes an authentic Normandy market on the Guildhall Forecourt, bringing the finest French products to England. Other street stalls fill the town centre with goods and refreshments and at the heart of the town is a free
café concert with popular musicians
from the Paris region and local dancers performing the can-can and modern dance. The Quay Green features classic cars enjoying 'La Balade' both days as well as a family fun area and a small medieval encampment. Serious cyclists ride 'Le Tour de Sandwich' on Sunday with mums, dads and children taking part in the short 'Le Petit Tour’ on Saturday. Free car parking in Cow Lees Meadow. Free entry.
