Florida Fair News The 99th Manatee County Fair took


place January 15th through the 25th and the theme this year was “Put Some Ag in Your Culture.” The attendance for the fair was our second highest in fair history at 167,400. The weather during the fair was fantastic with some rain during overnight hours. The Youth Livestock Show was a great success with a


record number of Swine and Dairy projects exhibited along with other animal areas. Entertainment highlights were the concerts of Maddie and Tae and Rhonda Vincent. Oth- er great entertainment during the fair was provided by The Dennis Lee Show, Rocket the Robot, Steve the Pretty Good, The Tricky Dog Show, Yesterdayze, Kids Pedal Trac- tor Pulls, Fame Racing R/C Racing Experience and The Wolves of America. Next year, the Manatee County Fair will celebrate its


100th year and preparations are underway for the Centen- nial fair which runs January 14-24, 2016! Below Dennis Lee and Dan West have a little fun before the gates open.


The Greater Pinellas Country Fair The Federation’s newest Fair member – the Greater Pi-


nellas Country Fair – opened their gates on November 12th for a five day run through November 16th. Hat’s off to them for getting their Fair up and running with a GREAT start

Dan West, Manatee County Fair, visited the Pinellas Country Fair and visited with Jean Rogalsky. She is the 4-H agent in Pinellas County.
