champion himself in Working Hunter and Combined Hunter in Canada and the U.S., Cabardino has passed on his style and excellent working temperament to his offspring who are now winning hack classes and hunter over fences classes in show rings across North America. Watch for them in the Derby rings too as they mature! Year after year, Cabardino has produced Young Horse Line Champions, in- cluding National Hunter/ Sallie B. Wheeler Champion.


Feiner Prinz Holders Hill’s young imported Trakehner stallion Feiner Prinz was approved by the American Trakehner Association in the fall of 2013, and was also approved by the Oldenburg/ISR in the fall of 2014. Feiner Prinz is the only ap- proved son of the Rus- sian Trakehner stallion Perechlest (by Khok- key), who had over 100 Grand Prix wins and placings in Europe. Feiner Prinz’s dam was the German State Premium and State Premium Mare Flamenca III by Cornus. Feiner Prinz, with a combination of proven European jumper and dressage lines, competed in dressage in 2014 and qualified for the USDF Region 2 Finals.


Phantom of Noble Friesian stallion Phantom of Noble (Teade 392 / Fetse 349 / Oege 267) is owned by Debra DeVries of Iowa and was pro- visionally approved by the Friesian Sporthorse Association in 2014.


Sas Van Thorehof Sas Van Thorehof (Tsjerk 328 / Oege 267 / Mark 232) is owned by George Geter of Geter Ranch in Texas and was provisionally approved by the Friesian Sporthorse Associa- tion in 2014.


Sovereign Sovereign (Mezcalero x Galoubet A) is a 2006, 16.2 hand bay Oldenburg stallion. Bred and owned by Celine Garceau-Clan- cy, “Salvador” was provisionally approved with the ISR Old- enburg NA in 2009. Out of the famed Mexican Olympic horse Mezcalero, his pedigree also includes the top producing


Galoubet A on his dam side. With these top performing and producing horses in his lineage, he is destined for the performance ring. In 2014, Taylor Flury of AliBoo Farm began working with Salvador to prepare him for the stallion test put on by the ISR Oldenburg Registry. At his test, Salvador proved the strength of his bloodlines by earn- ing a lifetime approval along with the title of Overall Cham- pion Stallion. Salvador will now go on to campaign in the jumper ring in 2015.


Talisman An exciting new addition to the Hilltop Farm lineup for jumper, eventing and hunter breeders is the 2001 Selle Lux- embourg stallion Tal- isman (Toulon-Alexis Z). Owned by Trestle Tree Farm and bred by Carlo Zimmer, Talisman was an up-and-com- ing star of the Young Jumper classes. Talis- man competed at top venues including Wellington, Kentucky, and the Hamptons up to 1.40 meters. Talisman earned lifetime approval with ISR/Oldenburg, RPSI and sBs in 2014.


Stallion Obituaries


Donnerkeil (1982-2014) Donnerkeil was bred in the United States by Dagmar Fanch- er out of her imported Lukant daughter Lucinda and well-re- garded Dürkheim son Diamont. We will always remember Don- ner as a true “all-American, all- arounder.”He achieved many championships in dressage, hunter/jumpers and eventing. His kind and willing tempera- ment enabled him to be shown and ridden by professionals and amateurs alike. Despite suf- fering a severe lower leg injury in a trailer acci- dent requiring bone plates and screws, he went on to a complete recovery, competing again in eventing for over five years. He was fully approved by the American Hanoverian Society based on his performance re- cord prior to the inception of the U.S. 100-Day Test. Donnerkeil was purchased by Bridlewood Farm in


Kentucky (Barbara A. Schmidt, DVM and her husband, Frederick J. Abblett) in 1996, where he stood as a highly
