CLASS NOTES
with Heidi (McIsaac) Shuford and me, I decided to make it a luncheon. Carol wanted oysters, so I made reservations at Dan and Louis Oyster Bar and then called Mary Lampson in Seattle, Janie Thielson in Bend, Nancy (Bishop) Dietrich, and Kathy Jeffcott, and invited them to join Carol, Heidi, and me. Everyone came and we had a wonderful time. It was just great all being together again. Oh, and we had a terrific extra treat because Carol brought her husband, Barry, who very patiently sat and listened to all of the chatter. Cheers to Barry!
1970s Kannes Noack ’73
This past August my climbing partner and I accomplished two successful climbs in Europe of the Matterhorn (second attempt) on the Swiss/Italian border and Mont Blanc, highest peak in Europe (third attempt), located on the French/ Italian border. We climbed both peaks within a 10-day span of each other. In September I had the unique opportunity to spend 10 days in North Korea as a guest of their government, which was quite an experience. I continue to enjoy my career in commercial real estate, specializing in land brokerage and retail
leasing and sales, and now prepare as president-elect for the 400-member Rotary Club of Sacramento. Would love to hear from my classmates and other friends at OES at

grubb-ellis.com.

Evan Roberts ’88 Today we received our first national
review of Crowley Wines (
www.crow-
leywines.com). Two months ago, Dr. Jay Miller called us and said he really had to try our wines. He tasted through every- thing, and we felt he left pretty happy with what he tasted. Today we got to see what he really thought, and it is very exciting. He awarded 91 to the 2008 Pinot noir entre nous, 92 to the 2008 Pinot noir gehrts and 2008 Pinot noir la colina vineyard. We are very proud and feel the last five years’ work has now been affirmed. Cheers to all of you for the encouragement over the years.
