living spaces En-suite bathrooms
With the increasing popularity of en-suite bathrooms, it is not unusual for new build executive homes to have almost as many bathrooms as bedrooms, so should you sacrifice bedroom space for an en-suite facility? If the master bedroom is large enough to take a conversion without making the remaining space too small, then it is an excellent idea. If an en-suite bathroom requires the loss of a bedroom, think very carefully. As properties rise in size the loss of a bedroom affects them less. Dropping a house from three bedrooms to two is far more drastic than going from five to four. You may be able to fit an en-suite without sacrificing a bedroom if you employ the services of a bathroom planner who has seen it all before and can come up with ingenious ideas and solutions. If you are having a loft conversion and can extend the roof line rather than just using the existing roof space, there should be plenty of room for a bedroom with en-suite. Again a bathroom planner will work out the best way to fit in everything you need.
