Hosted by Rugby Polo Club, this exciting event showcases a huge array of all levels of Arena Polo played here in the UK and everyone is welcome to come and watch!
THE POLO This highly anticipated festival is now in its second year and was a huge success in 2014, with a total of 18 teams entering the five tournaments. This year it will feature a variety of levels: High Goal (13–15), Medium Goal (8–4) and Universities matches.
With an interesting twist, arena polo provides a fast-paced form of polo played on a reduced pitch within the enclosed arena, providing a quicker, slicker game to add to this highly charged gladiatorial contest. to the four in traditional grass rules, enhances the spectator experience and magnifies the intense atmosphere. You can literally smell the horses and players as they gallop past! The Festival will be showcasing some of the UK’s top players and horses, all battling it out in their leagues for the coveted trophy!
THE CHARITY BALL On the evening of Saturday 21st February, the Festival will run a glamorous fundraising black tie Charity Ball in association with Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, with all donations going to the charity.
After the climax of Saturday’s polo matches, no polo tournament is complete without an after party and this will certainly be in everyone’s diary. To celebrate this inaugural event, The Midlands Polo Festival invites you to
continue the celebrations. You can expect the finest food and top bands to ensure the party rocks with a seamless mix of music, dance and style. People will be able to dance the night away with friends, families, polo players and party people. The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Charity Polo Festival Ball promises to be a spectacular night, so put on your glad rags, come and support and raise a glass of Champagne!
In addition to the all the action of the polo throughout the weekend, there will be other equestrian event entertainment with the skilful displays from the Mounted Pony Club Games and impressive Showjumping held in the large indoor arena.
