Fund-Raising Concert
AT SWINFEN HALL HOTEL ON SATURDAY 14TH MARCH THE AGE OF JAZZ – MUSIC FROM GERSHWIN, RAVEL AND FRITZ KREISLER
Swinfen Hall Hotel, a magnificent Georgian mansion, set in 100 acres of park land just outside Lichfield, is the setting for a fund-raising concert in aid of the Lichfield Festival on Saturday 14th March. Set in the oak-panelled ballroom, the concert celebrates the music of the roaring 20’s with works by Gershwin, Ravel and Fritz Kreisler.
American concert violinist Darin Qualls and Russian piano virtuoso Tatiana Zakharova will be performing a spirited programme of works including Gershwin’s much-loved Summertime and An American in Paris, the colourful Blues Sonata by Ravel and some
show-stopping pieces by the legendary violinist and composer Fritz Kreisler. This very entertaining concert was originally performed in Dublin in October 2014 and the Lichfield Festival are delighted that this talented duo will repeat the programme this March at Swinfen.
The concert begins at 7.00 pm and with a twenty-minute interval will end just before 9.00 pm. Tickets cost £15 with the total ticket price going directly to the Lichfield Festival.
Swinfen’s classic Afternoon Tea, consisting of finger sandwiches, freshly-baked buttermilk scones with cream and jam and a selection of delicious cakes and cookies, can be booked before the concert from 5.00pm priced at £18.95 per person.

Tables in the two-rosette restaurant are also available for a post-concert dinner at 9.00 pm. The superb three-course menu followed by coffee
142 and petit-fours is priced at £45.
There is limited availability for the pre-concert Afternoon Tea and the post-concert Dinner so please make a reservation when buying your concert tickets.
