THIS MONTH’S BAND THUNDERBOLT GIRL IN A

WHO? Maria Uzor aka Girl in a Tunderbolt is a singer-songwriter who records and produces her music in her spare room. She started making music as a way of making sense of herself and the world around her - “I’ve always been drawn to making music with a slightly twisted edge, and with poly-rhythmic elements, but I think those ideas have developed over time as I’ve explored both the delivery and the production side of things. And obviously I’ve grown as a person too.” Maria’s taken some time out from music for a while and has been dipping her ears into psychedelic music, Northern Soul and 80’s synth pop. She’s back with a new EP and a live show at Norwich Arts Centre.
