join the nation to ‘Wear it. Beat It!’ Plus beauty buys, local news and suggestions for making her Valentine’s Day that little bit more special
Have a heart!
Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer. For more than 50 years the British Heart Foundation has pioneered research that’s transformed the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions – from babies born with life-threatening heart problems to the many mums, dads and grandparents who survive a heart attack and endure the daily battles of heart failure. Heart and circulatory
disease is responsible for almost 22,600 deaths in the South East each year, an average of 62 people each day. And that’s why the British Heart Foundation (BHF) is asking us – the people of the South East – to support its annual fundraiser to ‘Wear it. Beat it’ on 6th February and join the nation in the fi ght for every heartbeat. Sign up to receive your free fundraising pack at
www.bhf.
org.uk/red or call 0300 330 0645 for fantastic ideas – including posters, stickers, dining ideas and red-themed quizzes – on how to spread the red at work, at school or among friends. Last year, the South East played a part in raising a grand total of more than £1 million during the BHF’s red fundraiser in February to support their life- saving research. This year they hope to raise even more but need local people to show their support to raise the much-needed funds. Every pound raised, minute of your time and donation to their shops will help make a difference to people’s lives.
