Daingan is a tribal village on the mountain range overlooking the shore of the Mindanao Sea and Balut Island. The ethnicity of Dain- gan is mostly the Manubo tribe mixed with
some Bla’an through intermarriages with neighboring tribes. They are multi-lingual but they have kept Manubo language as their
principle tongue.
Their main livelihood is through farming tiny parcels of land on the hillsides. These farming parcels were left unsold by their ancestors to migrating and more civilized tribes from the Visayas Islands. In Daingan, there are co- conut and banana trees on the land; and they farm the hillsides for corn, cassava,
