With the Christmas festivities well and truly a thing of the past, I would like wish you all a very happy New Year and hope it is a good one for you all.
As every year, we all make resolutions on how to change our lives. Well this year I have opted for something different than dieting or the usual suspects and instead have promised myself as many holidays or breaks away that the wallet can allow. I have learnt the hard way, as many of you will have also, that life is too short to stress or worry about trivial things that most of the time we cannot change anyway, so have decided instead to live life to the full everyday. After all, we all need something to look forward to.
So the fi rst port of call is a weekend in Sierra Nevada to have fun in the
snow....no skiing (don’t fancy any broken limbs) just sledging, making snowmen and snow ball fi ghts! My little angel has yet to actually experience proper snow and previous years we’ve always said it was something we would do but never actually got around to doing it. I just hope that the area has a fl urry of snow around the time we are going otherwise it may be a bit disappointing.
At the time of going to print with our Christmas issue, we were all so inundated with work that we failed to notice one of Santa’s elves had been into the offi ce and stole the QF logo hence the reason it didn’t appear in last month’s issue!! Therefore, to make up for this little mishap, we are doubling up the cash amount this month to 100€ for one of our lucky readers, so get searching.
We are sad to say that our colleague George has moved onto pastures new and we wish him every success in this new venture. But fear not, the distribution of your favourite local magazine will continue as normal however, I’m afraid that businesses in the La Marina and Gran Alacant area will have to put up with me again until we fi nd a suitable replacement!!
