Monos bar Quesada raise 1164€ for the AECC

During November Monos bar, Quesada took part in the Movember facial hair challenge for prostate cancer awareness. Loyal customers Craig, John, Paul, Mark, Chris, Kev, Dennis and Jeano plus TKO’s own Dennis Christian all grew beards as can be seen in the ‘before’ picture.

Also Chief Petty Offi cer Jon Harvey over on holiday visiting his parents and had taken great pride in growing his beard over the year agreed to have it shaved as well to raise money for this great cause. Unfortunately towards the end of November the charity tin was stolen from the bar which staff think contained 350-500€. However the guys agreed to continue their hair growth through December to enable them to raise some more money. Sadly around this time Pat Lambert the much loved wife of George and nan of Craig passed away so the money was handed over to Debbie Weedon of Maria’s Pink Ladies in her memory.

Apparently the guys were asked not to shave their beards off until after the funeral which they obviously complied with. If you wish to make an appointment for a mammogram, smear test or prostate test please phone AECC on 965 329 841 between 10am- 1pm, Monday to Friday.
