Quesada Bowls Club report Sponsored by
December was a reasonably quiet month for the bowls club, with many members departing for cooler climes to spend Xmas and New Year with their families.
In December the new owners of THE CLUB welcomed members of the bowls club, along with many other guests to their welcome party, where we were entertained with a magnifi cent buffet which was followed by dancing to the superb group Diverse.
The high spot of the month on the bowls scene was the success of our Triples team of Peta Rhodes, Derek Sale and Bill Pain, repeating their earlier win in the SABA Triples with another win in the La Marina Open Triples competition. See photo.
Within the club at the moment many individual club competitions are taking place, with some interesting results!
In the Leagues all our teams are progressing very well, with currently our SABA Pearls holding top position in Division A. We look forward to the start of the Federated Fours league commencing soon.
On Tuesday afternoons the Club will be starting a Bowls Drive and non members are very welcome to join in.
The Club has a very active Social Committee, offering a range of events and activities.
