CHAIRMAN’S INTRODUCTION I’m pleased to say it has been a very healthy year for the Salerooms and our turnover for the 34 auctions we held in 2014 was £20,200,000 (premium inclusive). Once again Jewellery and Asian Art provided most of the highlights and our top ten lots during the year are listed below:


FRONT COVER. An Austral Islands paddle, 123.5cm long. Estimate: £2,000 - 3,000


Other highlights included an African Yombe seated figure (£53,680), two mint condition Martin Brothers stoneware bird jars (£91,500 and £85,400) a Worcester mid 18th century scratch cross mug (£41,500) and last but by no means least, the Foley collection of commemorative medals which sold for £585,000.
