Holistic Chamber of Minnesota Meets Monthly

he Holistic Chamber of Minnesota (HCM) is a group of practi- tioners dedicated to supporting each other to grow their holistic
businesses. The Chamber welcomes any business, professional or practitioner that promotes a healthy lifestyle as well as products and/ or services to enhance general health and well-being. It is also open to individuals who are interested in holistic practices and want to promote holistic wellness in the community.
The HCM meets from 7 to 9 p.m., the second Wednesday of the month, at the Metamorphosis Center, in Burnsville. Meetings open with a meditation, followed by introductions of all attendees, and then discussions and speakers that help educate how to collectively grow participants’ businesses with education on topics such as marketing, social media, pricing, sales and more. “I am overjoyed by the caliber of practitioners that have been attracted to our orga-
nization. The networking, discussion, idea generation and sharing that unfolds during our monthly meetings is nothing short of inspirational,” states Laura Strong, founder and president of the HCM. Originally, the group formed under the national Holistic Chamber of Commerce (HCC) umbrella, a national nonprofit organization. After one year of membership, the group decid- ed that their funds would be better used to promote and grow the chapter locally. Anyone can attend the monthly meeting and see what the group is all about. Mem- bership in the HCM is $120 annually.

resh & Natural Foods, in Shoreview and Hudson, will be hosting their 5th Annual Health Fair, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday, January 10. A variety of health vendors and practitioners will be on-hand at both stores to talk with customers, and each vendor will be offering a door prize drawing. Customers will also receive 10 percent off their entire purchase all day at the store. “We believe in sustainability, that is
why we are partnering with like-minded businesses to create a year of optimal health,” states Darcy McQuillan, marketing manager for Fresh & Natural Foods. “Since good health starts with nutrition and is sup- plemented with alternative health practic- es, a health fair at Fresh & Natural Foods is the perfect place to tie it all together.” The annual event features an inter-
