IADC was inadvertently discovered in 1995 by clinical psychologist Dr. Allan Botkin while he was treating severely traumatized combat veterans with EMDR at the Chicago area Veterans Admin- istration Hospital. Beaver was trained directly by Dr. Botkin and is one of only four people in
