Commando Cash After Action Report
By Jim Connors ACA Treasurer
The 2014 Commando
Cash raffle was again a great success and on behalf of the Air Commando Association Directors and the Commando Cash Committee I want to say thank you! Your generos- ity provided over $19,600 that will help fund our ACA pro- grams supporting Air Com- mandos and Wounded War- riors past and present.
The drawing was held
during the BBQ on October 19, 2014. The lucky Commando Cash prize winners were: Bud Britain, $250; John Sodergren, $500; Jack Drummond, $750. The $1,500 prize went to Har- old Jacobson; and finally, the $3,000 grand prize winner was Joseph Celeski. Joe donated half of the winnings back to the ACA! A hardy congratula- tions to all the prize winners. Again, thank you for your gen- erosity and support of your Air Commando Association.
Quilt Raffle a Success!
Sara Morgan of Gulf Breeze was the winner of the Quilts of Courage raffle at this year’s convention. Quilts of Courage is a group of in- dividuals that
provide AF-
SOC Wounded Warriors a personalized handmade quilt to recognize their sacrifice(s). These quilts have the AFSOC emblem,
individual’s name/ unit/date embroidered on the
back side of the quilt as well as numbered for historical pur- poses. With the help of the Air
Commando Association, mem- bers of the Quilts of Courage raffled a quilt for fund-raising purposes to buy material (fab- ric/batting) ONLY -- no one gets paid and this is a purely volunteer effort to continue to make future quilts.
