good times were had at the hooch bar it was also the gath- ering place in sad times as well as we had our set backs and losses in training and combat. Through it all, good times and bad, Connie made the hooch a welcoming place and shared not only in our laughter but times of grief as well. She shed tears with us
for our losses, celebrated our victories with us, and was our number one supporter in our every endeavor. In late 2006 the decision
was made to close both the hooch bars as their facilities were duplicated by the new consolidated club. Rather than stay on for the final demise of the hooch Connie elected to retire in October 2006 after 30 years of service with the offi- cers club and sixteen and a half years at the hooch. The hooch
