QF Focus Magazine “O” WHAT A NIGHT
They’ve done it again. ‘Well done Charity 4 Charities,’ you’ve excelled yourself against all odds. If you were lucky enough to have purchased a ticket for their 6th Annual Presentation Night you’d realise why they are good at what they do best, raising money for other deserving charities who need extra help. From the moment you entered the ‘Bull Flanagan,’ (Home of C4C) you knew you were in for a fabulous night. The seventy people who attended were greeted in style by Dave and Eddie. Kristoff then took photos of the men in dinner jackets and their glamorous partners, before they were whisked off to their designated tables by Jenny, Sandra and Rachel. C4C chose a different tactic to their usual events. Instead of providing live entertainment, they swapped it for table magic, and it was just that ‘MAGIC.’ Great success. Chris and Caroline put on a magnificent buffet, with the help of brilliant staff. The room was
electric from everyone either talking or singing along to the fantastic music being played, with the blessing of the chief of police. Then the highlight of the evening took place – Age Concern, Debra, S.A.T., Alzheimer’s Assoc. Caritas, Torrevieja Stroke Assoc. Neo Natal, Oncology, Elche children’s home and finally Isaac house, in Uganda, came up to receive a cheque from C4C members, to the value of 1,000€ each. Finally, the raffle was drawn. All this time Kristoff took photos and Graeme Mykal the magician, entertained. As we said, a fantastic night. Apart from the above, this year Charity 4 Charities have given monthly donations of food and white goods to Rojales, Caritas poor. Approx ……4,000€ this year alone. Their ‘Bare all 2015 calendar’ has been such a success, their printer has donated another 200 copies. So for all those who missed out, you can still purchase them, only 5€ each. All money raised will go to next year’s chosen charities. So far they have raised 1,300€. They wish to thank Nadia for her fabulous baking that raised over 1,400€ this year alone. Ken the printer, Susan and Lucy who gave free transport, Kristoff for his fantastic help throughout photo shoots, Sue Johnson, who took the ladies photo shots, and sponsors. The final word is for all their supporters. Thank you. You’re the best. You helped them raise 19,000€ this year. Which makes the total to date a whopping 159,000€. If you wish to give support in anyway, please contact 966 712 803. They have a Weekly Auction every Tuesday and outside stall held at the Bull Flanagan, Quesada. It’s brilliant. Always packed out. If you have any unwanted items they could use on the stall, they’d be happy to collect if you can’t deliver. For more information phone Sandra on the number above, or go to Bull Flanagan Facebook page. The next auction is on Tuesday 13th January 2015.
They would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year.
