Ricon announced that it improved
its S-Series Wheelchair Lift by offering new features for easier
operation.
The lift has a re- inforced platform and
lightweight
aluminum outer barrier with soft rubber edge. The lift also comes
with an ergonomic hand-held control pendant and “cool-to-the-touch” LED lights illuminate the entire platform.

It integrates Zonar’s K12 High-
Definition GPS unit with Transfinder’s Busfinder AVL software to display ac- tual and historical bus
locations and
path-points on a district’s transportation routing map. School transpor tation officials can com- pare actual driving paths with planned routes. Transfinder will mar- ket and deliver the product to its school district clients and Zonar will provide in- stallation and service for its hardware.

the danger
zone gap surrounding the right dual tires of a school bus. Te MDZ Shield is an alterna- tive to the company’s S-1 Gard for transit buses, which the company calls “too cost prohibitive” for school bus operators. Te MDZ Shield is a ¼-inch thick, flexible wheel skirt that sits approximately four inches
from the ground. Te MDZ Shield is easy to install and maintain by gluing mounting brackets around the right rear well rather than under the mounting of the chassis. Te National Academy of Forensic Engi- neers was testing the product.
