Great work going on for
A Christmas
whopping 8,500 uk4u boxes have been packed and are on their way to all members of the Royal Navy, Royal
Marines, Army and Royal Air Force, who will be serving on operations on Christmas Day, wherever they are in the world.
uk4u Thanks! is a registered charity which provides Christmas Boxes full of presents (affectionately known as the 'Square Stocking') as a gift from the nation. Their mission is 'to deliver festive cheer to our Armed Forces risking their lives on our behalf at Christmas'. The organisation ensures that all Servicemen and Servicewomen, who are serving on operational tours of duty, away from their families and loved ones at Christmas receive a box.
Whilst the contents of the box sent by the Charity remain a secret until 25 December, they have certainly been put together with Word War One in mind and in a bid to uphold the tradition of the box first sent to the troops, in 1914.
The bronze coloured ammo box style tin is the latest edition to the boxes sent by uk4u since 2005. Funded by the generosity of our Sponsors and Supporters, uk4u is delighted to be able to spread festive cheer and bring a smile to the faces of our Armed Forces personnel who sacrifice Christmas day with their family and friends.
If you’d like to donate in readiness for next year’s boxes – text BOXY13 £5 to 70070
and help make a difference to the lives of our Armed Forces personnel.
