recruitmentnews Headford Launch Operational Division

Headford have recently launched an Operational Talent Search team which is headed up by Louis Johnson, an experienced Freight Recruiter from the group.

Headford’s Operational Talent team has been established to emulate the success and progress of the Sales and Senior Appointments teams in the Freight Forwarding sector.

With many companies now competing to hire the best of the industry’s talent, Headford will have a fresh approach to attracting the very best talent for its clients. This is done in a unique fashion using existing databases of candidates that are not accessible to traditional recruiters via job boards, and who may not be actively seeking a move.

In addition to our internal candidate databases Headford will also focus on referrals from the industry leaders. We view these individuals as the best of the best.

Louis had the following to say about the new division “Operational talent has never been more important to my clients. Most operational staff are actually the first point of contact for their clients ahead of a sales visit. They are the person at the end of the phone when taking a booking and they are, at times, the person who has to explain why a customer’s freight has been delayed. The demand for the top 5% of the industry is incredible at the moment”

I always ask my clients would you want to settle for the best of the available candidates from an advert on a jobsite search, or would you want my team working on finding the very best candidate who may not even be looking for a move?
