Good food at its best

The Black Horse Inn at Thurnham is an 18th century freehouse inn with luxury accommodation and a restaurant in a wonderful rural setting tucked beneath the steep face of the North Downs. The restaurant offers an extensive menu and the chefs pride themselves on using the best local produce to give an exciting range of mouth-watering English and continental dishes. Also available are light lunches, children’s menu and traditional Sunday Roasts.

Kent restaurateur Rezaul Raja, who owns the Raja of Kent group of restaurants, welcomes you to Raja of Kent in Tenterden, Raja of Kent in Maidstone and Mouchak in Tenterden.

Recently, Rezaul was honoured at a special seminar and dinner at the House of Commons for his contribution to the UK economy.

He has also had the pleasure of being asked to be a judge in the Channel 4 production Secret Supper Club.

Tudor Park’s new autumn menu afternoon tea consists of the best local Kent produce, freshly harvested.

Try the toffee crab apples ... and then try the rest; cinnamon apple fritters, pear and almond frangipane slice, Victoria plum tart and blackberry posset with cobnut and honey granola all presented as mini sweet afternoon treats.

Book afternoon tea and you will receive freshly baked scones with clotted cream and fruit conserve, finger sandwiches, mini desserts and a selection of teas and coffees for £15 per person or with a glass of champagne for £22 per person.
