Barn conversion spurs gypsy fears


RESIDENTS of a caravan park in Harrietsham fear a proposal to convert two light industrial barns into four homes could lead to more gypsies in the area. Roger Lee has applied to demol-

Boxley allotments open


BBC Radio Kent gardening expert Andy Garland joined plot holders and parish councillors at the official opening of the Dove Hill allotments at the site acquired by Boxley Parish Council in Sandy Lane. After unveiling a plaque to cele-


brate the occasion, Andy congratu- lated everyone on the success of the project. The venture has trans- formed a steep hillside sheep pasture into productive allot-


ments with a good approach road, rabbit and vandal-proof fence, pipedwater and a compostable toi- let.
