Southern Cross Dental launches online customer loyalty rewards programme, the first of its kind in Ireland

n October, Southern Cross Dental will launch a customer loyalty rewards programme – Horizon. This new scheme will reward customer loyalty by providing eligible dentists


with rebates every three months. This unique loyalty programme, pioneered by Southern Cross Dental, is the first of its kind available from a laboratory in Ireland. Dr David Reaney, general manager of Southern Cross Dental provided the following insight into the rationale behind the Horizon programme. He said: “Rewarding our loyal customers


is something that we are delighted to be able to do, especially considering the tough few years that our dentists have had. We feel it is important that our customers’ loyalty is rewarded, and the Horizon programme is our continuing way of saying thank you to those dentists who choose us as their laboratory partner.” Unlike other laboratories that don’t


discount or perhaps give discounts to high-volume customers, the Horizon Programme is incredibly straightforward. “Awarding ad-hoc discounts to favoured


customers in a smoke and mirrors fashion is not the route we chose to go down,” David said. “Every single customer is important to us, so we wanted to introduce a clear and transparent loyalty rewards programme that all our customers can take part in.” Using MySCD makes that transparency


even easier and ultimately allows the dentist to manage their account with ease. The Horizon programme recognises and


rewards customers the more they spend – with customers then being assigned a Loyalty Status Level. At the end of every quarter (ending December, March, June and September) the Loyalty Status Level is assessed and those who are eligible are rewarded with a rebate. Dentists can look forward to receiving this Loyalty Rewards Rebate as a credit to their account within 30 days of the quarter end.

MySCD The launch of the Horizon Loyalty Programme allows for even more functions to Southern Cross Dental’s online customer portal, MySCD. Dentists can register for the Horizon Loyalty Programme, check their loyalty status and manage their account via MySCD. With more than 30 years of global
