stolen from a Renault Megane parked in Tonbridge Road. Awhite Ford Transit van, registration


GF11 EHX, was stolen from Victoria Street. Power tools were stolen from a silver


Vivaro van in KentAvenue, Shepway. Apink and white Rayleigh mountain


bike was stolen from the rear garden of a home in Somerset Road, Shepway. The satellite navigation system and an


Ipod were stolen from a white Ford Focus in Heather Drive. Thieves broke in to a home in Tintern


Road, Allington, and stole cash and a television. Ablack Connect Coyote electric bike,


which had been chained to a tree in Little Buckland Avenue, was stolen. Ablack Peugeot V CLIC 50 motorcycle, registration GN10 FLPwas stolen from Douglas Road, Fant. Copper tubing was stolen from the Jubilee Primary School building site. Asilver Vauxhall Corsa, registration


WP02 AXN, was stolen from Florence Road, Fant. Thieves took a green and grey Venture bicycle which had been chained to a cycle rack in Kingfisher Meadow, leaving the chain behind. Agrey Giant Escape mountain bike and


a helmet were stolen from the car park in Brunswick Street. An electric sander and crates of beer


were stolen from Drakes, Fairmeadow. Asilver Nukeproof mountain bike, a


blue and silver NS Decade, and a gold BMX were stolen from a shed in a garden in Union Street. ADell computer, Playstation and games


were stolen from a property in Cross Street. Cash and a Lloyds/TSB paying in book


were stolen from a property in Plains Avenue, Shepway. Ablue one-person tent, camping burner


and assorted clothing were stolen from a small piece of land between playing fields and allotments in Chillington Street. Ared and blue Honda trials motorcycle


was stolen from Gooch Close, Allington. Three bicycles – a blue Lapierre Zesty, a


black XTC and a blue and yellow Scott GO – and accessories were stolen from Braunstone Drive, Allington . Ablack Specialised racing bike and a


red bicycle were stolen from the garage of a home in Lacy Close, Allington.


Shoplifter in court


AMAIDSTONE man who admitted shoplifting was given a suspended jail sentence and curfew. Craig Foreman, of Knightrider Street, ap- peared before Medway magistrates accused of stealing two fragrances worth £93 from a phar- macy in FremlinWalk, Maidstone. He was sentenced to 90 days in prison, sus- pended for 18 months, and ordered to pay £85 costs and an £80 victim surcharge. He was also placed on a curfew to remain at home between 7pm and 5.30am daily for three months.

Aproperty in Tonbridge Road was broken into while the owners were away on holiday. It is not known if anything was stolen. An attempt was made to break into an outbuilding in Clare Park, Tonbridge Road, Fant. Ablack Audi convertible, registration MW56 NCV, was stolen from a driveway in Tonbridge Road. AToyota Yaris was stolen from a parking area in Portsdown Close whilst the owners were on holiday. It was later found burned out in a field at Thurnham. An HP laptop, Nokia mobile phone, case


and cash were stolen from a property in Cambridge Crescent, Shepway. Awheel was stolen from a bike in the storage area atWallis Place, Hart Street. The front wheel and tyre were stolen


from a Vauxhall van parked in Farleigh Lane, Barming. Agreen Carrera bike was stolen from


the flats at Roseholme, Fant. The male suspect was described as aged about 17 and 5ft 7in. He was slim and wearing a grey hoodie and jeans and he had a whistle around his neck. Power tools were stolen from a silver Renault Traffic van parked in Plains Avenue, Shepway. The wheel trims were stolen from a Ford


Transit van parked in Coombe Road. Anine-tonne Ford dumper truck was


stolen from a building site in Sutton Road. The lock was forced on a shed in Cambridge Crescent, and a tool bag, air compressor, drill and sander were stolen. Achild's cycle was stolen from an alley


Perfume thief held


HARRY Smith (20), of Church Street, Maidstone, was sentenced to 20 days detention after he admitted stealing perfume from a shop in the town. Smith was re-sentenced for an earlier shoplifting offence for which he had been given a conditional discharge. Mid Kent magistrates sent him to a young offenders’ institution and because the offence was committed during an earlier suspended sentence, the term was increased to 70 days.

shed of a home in Cornwallis Road. Cash was stolen from a vehicle in Sainsbury’s car park, Romney Place,and a mobile phone was damaged. The suspect was said to be a white male in his late 30s, about 6ft tall and of medium build, with dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark jacket and carrying a white carrier bag. Ablue and white racing bike was stolen


from outside a home in Arundel Square, Tovil. Ablack 26" wheel mountain bike was


stolen, along with a chain and padlock, from outside Subway inWeek Street. Ablack and white BMX and three scooters were stolen from the garden of a home in Bower Place. Ablack Trek mountain bike was stolen


from a porch in Bower Street. Ahandbag, wallet and bank cards were


stolen from a property in Banky Meadow, Barming. The suspect was a white male in his late 30, 5ft 9ins and of medium build with brown hair. He wearing a light blue long-sleeved top and blue jeans and was driving a Ford Transit van. Alawnmower was stolen from a front garden in Quarry Road. ASamsung television, Nintendo games console and cigarettes were stolen from a

DANIEL Cuttell (30), of St Peter Street, Maid- stone was given a suspended jail sentence un- lawfully carrying a baseball bat and billhook. Cuttell appeared at Mid Kent Magistrates’


Court and admitted possessing an offensive weapon, using threatening behaviour and pos- sessing a blade in a public place in Maidstone on July 15. He was sentenced to a total of 60 days in prison, suspended for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and an £80 victim sur- charge.
