Multi-million pound Grand Harbour Hotel refurbishment unveiled
Southampton’s iconic Grand Harbour Hotel has lifted the wraps off its much-anticipated multi- million pound refurbishment.
The hotel has been a familiar sight alongside the city’s famous waterfront for 20 years – and is a popular destination among guests from across the UK and worldwide.
“The hotel is one of Southampton’s most recognisable landmarks alongside the Bargate, the Civic Centre and historic walls,“ said Grand Harbour Hotel general manager Laura Roberts.
“And this £4m investment is a reflection of our drive to maintain its reputation as the first port of call for those seeking out a rare combination of affordable luxury in the south of England.“
The Grand Harbour’s restaurant, bar, spa, conference facilities and each of its bedrooms and suites have been completely transformed as part of the hotel’s bid to lead the exciting development of Southampton’s waterfront.
“We understand and believe strongly in the vision to make Southampton the region’s number one destination for both leisure and business,“ added Roberts.
“The city enjoys a perfect coastal location, with its close proximity to the New Forest and beaches – together with convenient transport links to London, the South East and the South West.
“These, combined with its reputation for first-class sports, theatre and its world- renowned cruise terminal, make Southampton an obvious choice for both work and play.
“We have been very careful to preserve the traditional features people know and love – and combine them with luxurious touches that fit perfectly within these wonderful surroundings.“
