GOING FOR GOLD IN BUSINESS

Entrepreneurialism is on the rise.

More and more people have aspirations to run their own business, to create something innovative, and be in charge of their own future. Self-employment, just one way of being an entrepreneur, is at record levels.

In fact, Britain will need many more entrepreneurs in the future. To compete in an increasingly globalised, knowledge-based economy, the British economy will

need greater flexibility and fluidity in its labour market, and to be much more inventive, innovative and productive. Start-ups will be crucial for enabling all of this.

Politicians and policymakers therefore need to focus on training and supporting entrepreneurs so that they create thriving businesses that make the UK successful in the long term. That means getting more budding entrepreneurs through the doors of business schools, where students can develop core skills,

experience and even funding to make dreams of business ownership a reality.

So, if you think you’re the next Richard Branson or Mark Zuckerberg, then you should be thinking seriously about enrolling on a course at a business school. But, of course, you need to know which schools are good, which will be worth the investment, and will enable you to get the high-quality training needed to ensure you have a solid start in your business career.
